Certified Nurse’s Aide Training Offered in Grayville

Individuals interested in employment as a Certified Nurse Aide may register now for the training classes beginning Aug. 22 in Grayville through Frontier Community College.

The Basic Nurse Assistant Training program is designed to teach and train individuals to help care for patients under the supervision of a registered or licensed practical nurse. The course provides both classroom lecture and clinical experience.

HEA 1203 (31691), Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program, will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. Clinical training will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m.. – 4:00 p.m. a few weeks after the semester begins. Rosalyn Crawford is the course instructor. The last class meeting is October 14. Registration is limited to 10 students.

Health Care Education Center Opens in Mount Airy

Carroll, Howard and Frederick community colleges are teaming up to build a new center for health-care education that will enable students from the colleges take a wider array of classes at in-county rates.
